History
In 1973, Pauline Bond, a local teacher, donated her six-acre parcel
of land to the City of Sonoma so it could be opened as a park. She
wanted the community to enjoy the riches of the land as much as she
had. The Sonoma Ecology Center manages the property, preserving its
historical value and agricultural heritage. The Sonoma Garden Park
was formerly known as the Pauline Bond Community Garden.
